Shop volunteer needed to receive, sort and prepare donated goods, as well as working on the tills.
This is a job for a person who likes to be kept busy! Based in our charity shop in Berkhamsted High St we need a fit and active volunteer who will be 'hands on' in the shop. The role will involve greeting customers and offering assistance as well as accepting donated goods and completing Gift Aid paperwork where applicable. Donated goods are sorted and steamed before being displayed. The successful applicant will be given training on using the till and credit card machines if needed.

An able bodied person is needed as there is heavy lifting involved, and the listed building has lots of stairs as well as nooks and crannies. Good people skills are essential and you need to be a team player. Training will be given, as well as how to work the tills and credit card machines if necessary. Volunteers must be numerate.

The shop is centrally located in Berkhamsted High St. There is parking in Lower Kings Rd, St John's Well Lane (behind Woods Garden Centre) and Canal Fields. The 500/501 bus runs along the High St.
