Trustees needed for a local charity providing supported sheltered housing for older people. If you are passionate about enhancing the quality of life of older people, Abbeyfield needs you.
We are looking for a new members to join The Abbeyfield (Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead) Society Board to expand the breadth of its skills, expertise and diversity. Our charity exists to enhance the quality of life for older people through the provision of supported sheltered housing where our residents are at the heart of everything we do. The future aim of our charity is to ensure that we remain relevant for the needs of older people and we have a policy of continuous improvement to achieve this. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about our cause, willing and able to devote the necessary time and effort to the organisation, able to think creatively and speak their mind, and have an understanding of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of the trustee ship. We are looking for someone willing to commit to our Society for at least one 3 year term of office

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Bookkeeping & Finance, Evaluating & Reviewing, Communication
Ability to use email and a cloud based storage system (training on the cloud system can be provided). One of the areas below: finance; marketing and social media; audit and risk management; building maintenance and compliance; human resources
