Volunteer Coordinator

We are looking for someone who can help us with the coordination of volunteering and volunteers.
Strategy: Lead recruitment with Comms; brief speakers/staff on volunteer impact and needs. Ops: Assess project needs; write role descriptions, policies, and risk assessments. Lifecycle: Manage interviews, DBS/ref checks, rapid induction, rotas, and exit interviews. Support: Primary contact (inc. WhatsApp/text); provide 1:1 advice, training, and buddying. Engagement: Maintain frequent, adaptable communication; lead volunteer celebrations and awards.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about climate and nature, looking to build, extend or just maintain their skill set while between jobs, in a career break, looking for a job, or looking to learn skills in a new area of work they would like to move into, or just have spare time and want to contribute.
No specific time. Meetings and events are often in evenings or at weekends, and some volunteers may find it useful meeting in the day
