Show Time: TBC (Saturdays) Training: Full training provided (Starting mid June– 2 sessions per week, 1 hour each), training on Compliance with Ofcom Regulations mandatory (DAB Requirement)! Radio Dacorum is on the lookout for passionate volunteer football commentators to bring the thrill of local and national matches to life for our listeners! If you love the beautiful game, have a sharp eye for play-by-play action, and can deliver engaging, insightful commentary, we want to hear from you!

Live Commentary: Cover local football matches across Dacorum and occasional key national fixtures—bringing the atmosphere, drama, and excitement directly to our listeners. Pre-Match Prep: Research team lineups, player stats, recent form, and relevant news before each game to deliver informed and entertaining commentary. Match Analysis: Provide thoughtful half-time and full-time summaries, analysing team strategy, standout moments, and player performances. Fan Engagement: Get fans involved with real-time shoutouts, score predictions, and post-match reactions across our social media channels. Special Features: You’ll have opportunities to interview local players, managers, or fans (interviews must be pre-approved and comply with DAB and Ofcom standards). Potential to Interview: Find someone with something to say? Feel free to bring them on to spread their message across Dacorum (Guest approval required by management prior to show, script MUST be preapproved and follow DAB compliance).
