The Day Centre is often the first port of call for our services, where anyone is welcome to drop in for a shower, a hot meal, clean clothes and some company. We are looking for volunteers who are able to make a regular commitment for a few hours a week.
The Day Centre is often the first port of call for our services, where anyone is welcome to drop in for a shower, a hot meal, clean clothes and some company. We are looking for volunteers who are able to make a regular commitment for a few hours a week. You will need to be observant at all times, alerting staff of any concerns regarding behavioural issues or anything that is said, engage with clients, being a friendly face, and a listening ear, chatting with them, providing hot drinks, serving hot meals, cleaning plates, filling the dishwasher, ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy, and wiping down tables, and sweeping and moping the floor and cleaning the patio area at the end of lunch.
