Our IPU care support volunteers help the clinical team to meet the needs of our patients, families and visitors.

Detailed Description

Are you kind, calm, and happy to lend a hand? We’re looking for volunteers to support our hospice inpatient unit — offering practical help, emotional support, and a friendly face to patients and families during some of life’s most important moments. What will you be doing? • helping with serving meals and drinks • helping with patient's personal hygiene and toilet care • helping with therapeutic treatments and activities • keeping the nursing team up to date

You will need some carer or nursing experience, along with empathy, reliability and willingness to be there for others. We'll give you the training and support you need to feel confident and valued.
