Caudwell Youth work with at-risk 11-24 year olds delivering person centred support based on their individual needs for up to 2 years. Most young people we see have one or more of the following challenges: mental health, care experienced, at risk of or involved in offending behaviour or at risk or exploitation. We look for mentors from all walks of life, whether you have professional experience, lived experience or life experience, if you have the compassion to help others that makes you a great candidate to support our young people. Volunteers will be supported throughout their journey by their Youth Support Coordinator and the Volunteer team. How it works - Mentoring with us means working with one young person for 1-2 hours a week. - A combination of support through messaging/ calling and meeting up in the community. - Support your young person in identifying and taking the next steps in their life. - Keep us up to date with your young person via our online application How we support you - Online training to work with young people - Regular support and guidance from your Youth Support Coordinator - Travel expenses are covered along with £12 a week for volunteers and their young person to use during mentoring sessions - Your DBS is covered by us. - You will have unlimited invites to our mentor meet ups and online forums. A great way to meet other mentors in the area.
