Massage therapist volunteer

Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care

Are you a qualified massage therapist who would like to use your skills to improve the wellbeing of our patients and family members. We are looking for therapists who can visit patients at home and also treat them in our patient buildings in St Albans and Watford.

Detailed Description

Our volunteer complementary therapists work with our clinical teams to offer a range of therapies to patients and carers in our nursing areas. This vital service contributes to the wellbeing of our patients and is part of the holistic care that we provide. If you are a qualified massage therapist and would like to gain experience in the palliative care sector, we would love to hear from you. You will be part of a team and we offer a full induction and education programme, along with continuing professional, clinical and personal support.

You’ll need to be qualified in your therapy, with at least one year's experience, and happy to work sensitively with people receiving palliative care. We’ll provide all the support you need — you bring your skills and your kindness.

Time Commitment

This is flexible, but we would hope that you could offer a minimum of 2 treatments a week.
