Digital Champion

As part of our Digital Inclusion project we are looking for Digital Champions to support people who want to find out more about using digital technology (computers, tablets and smartphones) and the internet. You don't need to be an I.T Whizz or Guru to become a Digital Champion, just some spare time, and an interest in supporting others to help them enjoy the benefits of the internet and their digital technology.
As part of our Staying Connected project we are looking for Digital Champions to support people who want to find out more about using digital technology (computers, tablets and smartphones) and the internet. The main focus is to help those that are most excluded as a result of their low digital ability. Digital Champions work with a wide range of people and being a Digital Champion is a great way to make a positive contribution in your community. As a Digital Champion you will need the ability to confidently use a range of digital technologies such as PC's, smart phones, laptops and tablets. You will be able to perform varied tasks including searching the internet, writing and sending e-mails and using social media (eg Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) You will also need a Satisfactory DBS certificate which will be paid for by Community Action Dacorum.
